After officially parting ways with their previous band Upon Your Grave , Alex Bussières, Jordan Jolicoeur and Manuel Allaire-Durand formed Vibrant Heels in Lévis, Québec, during the summer of 2015. This new project allowed them to start something fresh with a new outlook on writing songs that represented them better and had no creative borders. In April 2016, Alex Rancourt joined the band as their bass player after graduating from Berklee College of Music in Boston, becoming an important part of the band's sound and motivation to move forward. The studio sessions went on from July to November 2016 to finally give birth to the first album 'DRIVEN'. The unique and invigorating sound is inspired by the very different influences of each member. Artists like Led Zeppelin, Gojira, Haken, Korn, Deftones are some of them. The album was recorded and Mixed by Raphäel Malenfant from Broil Audio and Michael Fontaine of Frequence Production and then mastered in December by François C. Fortin. The band will start recording their new album in february 2019 and will be the first out on their own label: lazerray records. The record is expected to be released in the summer of 2019.
